He worked with many types of media and techniques, but primarily in oils and his work was best described as Expressionistic. He received numerous awards in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New York, and his work can be found in many private collections in the United States and several foreign countries. He owned and operated the Paul Calvo Art Gallery on Main Street in Chatham, MA.
