ABOUT THE ARTIST: Julie lives in Mandarin, a suburb of Jacksonville, with her daughter and their loyal setter mix and studio assistant, Ginger the Wonderdog. In her studio, Julie explores the themes of geography and iconic structures within landscapes, as demonstrated by the overwhelming patron response to her pen and ink drawing, “The Bridges of Jacksonville, FL,” one of which hangs in City Hall! Her watercolor maps have created collectors of her patrons from all over the world.
As a small, local business owner, Julie believes in the power of community. She serves as the Green Market Organizer for the annual Mandarin Arts Festival, for which she has also designed the t-shirt for the annual event going on a decade. She also
serves on both the Vendor and Advisory Committees of the Riverside Arts Market and proudly supports the local chapter of the American Cancer Society by contributing original work for their annual Cowford Ball fundraiser.
